What Kind of Bookings can I make?
There are currently 3 types of bookings:
- Roll-up / Open Play
- Provisional Booking Request
- Agreed - Confirmed Booking Request
But this is set by the club, and some clubs choose not to use some types of booking.
Roll-up / Open Play
Roll Up or Open Play are single sessions and are covered in Booking a roll-up match via the club website.
Booking National and County Competitions
National and County Competitions are double session matches so for each match 2 sessions need to be reserved in the online diary.
A Provisional booking requires 2 dates to be provisionally reserved i.e 2 dates that you offer to your opponent. Provisional bookings only apply to National and County competitions. When booking each date you need to reserve 2 sessions next to each other (Double Sessions).
These sessions will be marked as Reserved in the diary. The member has 72 hours to confirm which date of the 2 is the preferred date. This can be done online by clicking the Confirm button and the 2 sessions reserved for the 2nd alternative date will automatically be removed from the diary. The confirmed sessions will be updated to confirmed in the diary.
Agreed - Confirmed booking options only requires one date as agreed with your opponent. Again if playing a National or County competition you will need to select a double session.
You would also book a Rollup/ Open play session using the Agreed - confirmed booking option.
It may not be always possible to book 2 consecutive sessions on the same rink on the same day but the member can reserve 2 consecutive sessions on different rinks. The club will see this and move sessions on that date to accommodate the need for these games to be on the same rink for 2 sessions, the member will get an automated email when this happens.
The member will receive the following type of Booking automated emails:
- Booking confirmation email
- Reservation confirmation email
- Reservation cancellation email
- Booking change
An email will be generated for the following scenarios:
- Booking a Rollup - single session
- Reserving National and County sessions - 2 Dates double sessions
- Agreed Confirmed National and County single date 2 double sessions
- Member confirms preferred date from 2 reserved dates (National & County)
- Reserved sessions cancelled after 72 hours if a member has not confirmed preferred session
- Club Moves or deletes a booked or confirmed session
