If you are new to this, it may help to first read: About Sub-teams and Scoring Rules Introduction
When you use sub-teams, you have the "Main Team" which can contain either 2 or 3 "sub-teams".
Before you can create a Sub-teams league, you must check the scoring rules align with what your league or club requires.
Go to Manager > Scoring Rules - Regular to access the page for configuring the Sub-teams rules at the bottom:
- Name
- Each rule set needs a name, because when you create leagues, you'll need to select which Scoring Rules to use
- Score reduction %
- If required, this is the percentage that a team's points are reduced by if they are marked to be missing a player
- Round score reduction
- After a percentage reduction is applied, it is common to be left with a points amount that is not a whole number. This option will round those points up or down to the nearest whole number.
- Sub-team win
- Number of points given to the overall team when a sub-team wins the match/rink
- Sub-team draw
- Number of points given to the overall teams when the sub-teams draw the match/rink
- Sub-team loss
- Number of points given to the overall team when a sub-team loses the match/rink, usually 0
IMPORTANT - Bowlr allows sub-team leagues to be scored either by overall win by rinks OR by shots total. It is not possible or logical to mix the 2 methods. So when you are setting up these scoring rules, you would enter points into either:
- Main team win by rinks
- Main team draws by rinks
Or:
- Main team win by shots
- Main team draws by shots
This means 2 of these fields are always left empty:
