Bowlr gives clubs some control over how scores for leagues are converted to points for the standings tables.
Bowlr also allows you to create multiple scoring rules in case this differs between leagues within the same club.
When creating a league, clubs must select one of the scoring rules:
Control for these scoring rules are divided into 3 pages on the Manager menu:
- Regular & Subteams
- Sets
- Ends
Regular
Go to Manager > Regular scoring rules
Here you will see a default scoring ruleset and the ability to add a new combination in the blank row at the bottom.
These rules assume 1 overall result is entered for each match.
The results table calculates the standings based on these point conversions.
About Score reduction
This allows you to set the amount of reduction in points a team would receive for example, if a player is missing.
When scores are entered using the Score Input (iPads) or using the Match Details button on the system side, a team can be marked as having a player missing and the reduction is applied to the score before the scores are converted to points.
Reduced scores can be rounded to the nearest whole number, otherwise scores are rounded to the nearest 0.25 i.e. 25.25, 25.50, 25.75.
